Our client is a leading global information, data and measurement firm, which operates in over 100 countries and employs approximately 44,000 people worldwide. The company relies on real consumers to provide data about what audiences watch, listen to and buy.
The media research company sent out user incentive packages – a letter with a dollar bill inserted into the package, to be metered and mailed. They were doing this by hand and engaged ColorArt to automate the process by machine inserting the money into the packages. The program’s requirements included: Money Incentive: The mailings began with one dollar bills inserted and have since evolved to various denominations that are either inserted or tipped onto the letters.
A number of security measures were implemented to accommodate delivery as well as the management of live money on the production floor. The program work is performed in a secure location, and our Automated Production Tracking software ensures accuracy and chain of custody throughout the manufacturing process, end-to-end auditing and real-time visibility to work in process.
All packages require match mailing – ranging from a two-way up to a four-way match. ColorArt implemented strict quality control measures to ensure the accuracy of the matches. Reporting: The client requires postage/incentive monthly reports and specialized inventory reports.
The success of the program led to the addition of other programs. Once again, it included work that the client was doing in-house, but the program was growing and the client could no longer handle daily drops and the volume of handwork. Upon the success of that program, ColorArt was awarded another new program from this customer.
When ColorArt first started managing the programs, the packages were mailing to 19 markets. Currently, we are mailing to 40 markets with the goal of expanding to a total of 60 markets soon. The company mails out two cross over releases per year – spring and fall. ColorArt mails every day of the week across the entire year for this contract.
To ensure there are no unexpected interruptions in the programs, ColorArt provides plant redundancy for the work. Multiple ColorArt facilities support the programs as the work scales in size. ColorArt provides a unique service that other supplies cannot provide – i.e. money inserting/tipping – and has received feedback from our customer that we understand their business better than they do.
