One of the country’s largest retailers has been running a wellness program administered by a third party for the past six years. The program engages store associates in a year-long wellness challenge that includes healthy living tips, recipes, and a grand prize of $150,000 to one employee each year. The challenge materials are located in the employee break rooms.
ColorArt Solution
ColorArt was engaged to fortify the challenge by developing displays and supporting collateral. The challenge was to engage associates visually and grow participation with an easy to access display that included such materials as brochures, healthy recipe guides, posters and DVDs. ColorArt developed and produced a kiosk design with an interchangeable header for biannual updates and state specific campaign refreshes. In addition, ColorArt managed the production of program DVDs, custom packaging, pack-outs of multiple versions, and distribution of materials to stores/facilities. ColorArt also coordinated the campaign rollout, developing an automated program launch via text messaging, as well as the option to order via text.
Results
The initial wellness challenge kick-off was very successful, and our customers saw increased program adoption each year. Wellness programs are proven to reduce claims for self-insured companies, and ColorArt’s customer has been very pleased with the outcome.
In the second year of the challenge, the program offered additional support materials, including multi-lingual collateral and display headers, along with reprints of existing materials. The program also expanded to encompass neighborhood market displays, new displays for other company brands, table displays, and ongoing fulfillment. The company initiated Wellness Day events, and ColorArt’s support continues to grow with the roll out of national and state-specific program collateral and display materials.
In addition, ColorArt’s management and solutions approach to the wellness program took had a positive affect on the local human resource teams and project managers, by simplifying the ordering process by implementing ColorArt’s storefront technology platform. Now project managers are able to order & restock online, and easily track usage and shipments; freeing their time and allowing them to focus on developing additional programs and working towards organizational goals.
